Minister receives ‘slipper slap’

State Minorities Welfare Minister Syed Mohammed Ahmadullah faced the ire of angry protestors when he visited a hunger strike camp of Samaikhyandhra activists at Collectorate in Kadapa district.

The agitating hurled slipper at the minister when the latter was gheraod and demanded Ahmadullah to resign from his post against the bifurcation of state. When the situation turned tense. Police swung into action guarded the minister from the attack.

Ahmadullah made it clear that he resigned from his post on the same day when pro-Telangana announcement was made by the Centre. Further, he said he visited the hunger strike camp as a Samaikayndhra supporter and not as a minister.
