A Cabinet Minister in BJP-led Jharkhand Government paying floral tributes to Former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam stirred a controversy.
Abdul Kalam is alive, hale and hearty at the age of 83. So, Any such gestures naturally draw criticism from the public and it is no different in this case.
Reportedly, Education Minister Neera Yadav attended a function held at a school in Hazaribagh district as Chief Guest. She placed tilak on Abdul Kalam’s picture with a garland and everyone present in the spot remained mere spectators. The presence of another party leader and MLA Manish Jaiswal in the picture causes more embarrassment to the BJP Government.
Neera Yadav, however, defends herself saying she just put a tilak on the picture of Abdul Kalam and the garland was already placed on it by someone else. She alleges few people are trying to tarnish the image of BJP Government by spreading baseless reports.
