A hit film will always push the careers of whole cast and crew upside, while a flop film could simple disperse them. One such movie everyone saw in 2017 is “Mister”, directed by Sreenu Vaitla and featuring Varun Tej in the lead.
That film’s colossal failure at the box office is a huge setback for everyone including director Sreenu Vaitla who is yet to find a hero and director for his next. Luckily Varun Tej has survived this crash as he was rescued by blockbuster Fidaa in a short time. While this Mister is safe, his girls from the film are still struggling.
Unfortunately, this year is a huge blow for heroine Lavanya Tripathi as she scored only flops post Mister. Including Radha, Yuddham Saranam and Vunnadi Okkate Zindagi, she got four flops in hand. Either Sandeep Kishan’s delayed film Maayavan or Sai Dharam’s Intelligent (working title) should change her fate in 2018.
Then we have single movie sensation, Kumari Hebbah Patel, who scored two more flops with Andhagadu and Angel after Varun Tej’s movie. She’s yet to sign her next film in Tollywood and looks like struggling to find a right script or offer.
If we have to talk about writers of Mister, Gopi Mohan and Sreedhar Seepana, both started their debut films as directors but there is no clue about those projects.
