Manchu Vishnu, who has been actively promoting Kannappa, decided to pause the film’s aggressive promotional run following today’s tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. The team initially planned to hold a grand pre-release event in Indore tomorrow, but in light of the accident, the event has been canceled.
Vishnu expressed his grief on social media, offering heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. “My heart breaks for the lives lost in today’s Ahmedabad Air India crash. In deep mourning, we’re deferring the #Kannappa trailer release by one day and canceling tomorrow’s Indore pre-release event. My prayers are with the families during this unimaginably difficult time,” he wrote.
Kannappa features Manchu Vishnu in the lead role, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. The film also boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Prabhas in a key role alongside Akshay Kumar, Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal, Mukesh Rishi, and others. Produced by Vishnu himself, Kannappa is scheduled for release on June 27th, 2025.
