Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Adampur Air Force Station in Jalandhar early today to personally thank the air warriors and soldiers who took part in Operation Sindoor. Sharing photographs from the visit on social media, he described the encounter as “a very special experience to be with those who epitomize courage, determination, and fearlessness.”
The visit came on the heels of the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan, with Adampur playing a key role in defending against Pakistan-launched drones. During his address last night, Mr. Modi emphasized that the government has granted the armed forces full autonomy to combat terrorism, praising the Indian Air Force, Army, Navy, BSF, and paramilitary units for remaining “constantly fully on alert.”
Reflecting on Operation Sindoor, he noted that it has “set a new benchmark in India’s battle against terrorism,” and reiterated the nation’s profound gratitude to its defenders for their unwavering service.
