Amidst escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the nation today at 8 PM, focusing on the ongoing Operation Sindoor.

Until now, only government diplomats and top military officials have interacted with the media regarding the situation. Now, with Modi stepping forward to speak, the nation is anticipating critical updates on India’s military and diplomatic response.

Despite agreeing to a ceasefire just the other day, Pakistan violated the terms by launching airstrikes. In response, Indian Army officials issued strong warnings during a press briefing, signaling firm retaliation.

India initiated Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting nine terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK). The operation is India’s direct response to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of several security personnel.

Earlier this morning, Modi chaired a high-level security meeting attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and the three service chiefs. Today’s address is expected to reveal key developments in the operation and the government’s strategic stance moving forward.
