Modi to visit AP again on February 27th

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Andhra Pradesh once again to address a public meeting in Visakhapatnam on February 27th. According to the BJP state unit, the meeting was scheduled for February 16th but has been postponed to February 27th due to his visit abroad.

According to the BJP leaders in the state, the Prime Minister was initially expected to visit Andhra Pradesh on February 16th, the same week when Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao were said to visit Vizag for the Kumbabhishekam to be performed by Swami Swaroopananendra Saraswati in Sri Saradapeetham at Chinna Mushidiwada on February 14.

The BJP state unit is working to finalise the venue for the PM’s public meeting. Sources say that BJP MP K. Haribabu and others had approached Andhra University administration to use the University’s ground for the meeting. However, in view of the ongoing academic session, the University management is said to have denied permission. However, the BJP state unit is expected to write to the state government seeking permission for the PM’s public meeting in Vizag.
