Modi’s sensational decision after citizens not followed lockdown

The Central Government is rapidly adapting themselves to the Covid-19 outbreak and are swiftly making modifications in their decisions according to the behaviour of the Indian citizens. Initially 19 states have announced complete lock down and the people in those states are prohibited to enter the streets without valid reasons.

After some people violated the norms in Punjab and Maharashtra the governments immediately imposed a curfew. Now as many people in the states have been refusing to follow the norms, the Modi government started to dig in new IPC sections which will facilitate the system to arrest the offenders indefinitely and made it a non-bailable offense.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to state governments to ensure that rules and regulations of the coronavirus lockdown are enforced as he noted that many people are not following them strictly that made states like Karnataka and Telangana to impose section 270 under IPC.

As the latest development to the brave decision took by Modi’s government, hundreds of people were booked for violating the norms and were issued warnings of arrest with jail terms up to a year if the violations continued.

The number of states and Union territories that imposed the lockdowns increased to 28 on Monday with Punjab and Maharashtra, the worst-hit state with 71 confirmed Indian cases, imposing curfews.
