Modi’s ‘Thulabaram’ ceremony

As planned before, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today, has arrived in Thrissur, Kerala, to offer prayers at the Guruvayur temple post his massive victory at the Lok Sabha elections. He took accommodation at a government guest house. He performed the ‘thulabharam’ ceremony and offered lotuses for his prayers, which is the BJP symbol.

The pictures went viral where PM is seen weighed on scales with lotuses and the flowers and later were later offered for prayers at the Sri Krishna temple. Modi wore traditional white attire and a few Union ministers and officials have accompanied him. However, the temple is closed for outsider and visitors for today due to heightened security.

Before the results of the Lok Sabha election, Modi was seen visiting Kedarnath and involved in a meditation at a cave. Now, this is the first temple visit for him after winning the elections. Later, Modi will address a party meeting called Abhinandan Sabha which will be organised by the BJP Kerala State committee. Also, this mark as his first public meeting in his second term a the PM of India.

The Prime Miniter, after this, will leave to Kochi and from there, he will visit Andhra Pradesh’s Tirumala to offer prayers at Lord Venkateswara temple. After completing his temples visits, he will be headed to the Maldives as his first foreign trip in the second term at the Centre.
