Veteran Tollywood actor Manchu Mohan Babu and his son, Manchu Manoj, were involved in a heated argument and verbal altercation before the Ranga Reddy District Collector on Monday over a property dispute.
Reports indicate that both Mohan Babu and Manoj arrived at the district collectorate in Kongara Kalan, near Ibrahimpatnam, on Monday afternoon to present their respective claims regarding the disputed property.
A few days earlier, Mohan Babu had sent a letter through his representative, seeking protection under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act. In the letter, he alleged that Manoj had illegally entered his residence in Jalpalli village, Balapur Mandal, and was asserting property rights.
Manoj had also met with the additional collector of Ranga Reddy district a few days earlier to present his stance on the matter.
During the latest hearing, both Mohan Babu and Manoj presented their arguments before the collector, who also serves as a district magistrate. The magistrate conducted an extensive two-hour interrogation.
Mohan Babu accused Manoj of unlawfully encroaching on his property, asserting, “No one has any right over my self-earned property. Manoj must return my assets.” The magistrate has scheduled another hearing for the following week.
The courtroom atmosphere grew tense as Mohan Babu and Manoj engaged in a heated verbal exchange before the magistrate. Both parties accused each other before exiting the Collector’s office.
While Mohan Babu openly addressed the media, voicing his concerns, Manoj refrained from making any statements and appeared visibly agitated.
