If reliable sources are to be believed, veteran actor Mohan Babu is all set to make a grand comeback as a menacing villain in the upcoming action-adventure The Paradise, starring Nani. According to insider reports, Mohan Babu will portray a fiery Muslim don operating from Hyderabad’s Old City — a role that promises intensity and gravitas.

The senior actor is said to be undergoing a complete makeover to embody this powerful character. Known for his commanding negative roles, Mohan Babu has previously impressed audiences with his dark portrayals, most notably as the ferocious Lord Yama in S.S. Rajamouli’s Yamadonga. In the 1970s and 1980s, he left an indelible mark with menacing roles in classics like Alluri Seetharamaraju, Sardar Paparayudu (alongside Krishna and NTR), Khaidi Kalidasu, and Khaidi No. 786, cementing his legacy in Tollywood.

Later, Mohan Babu successfully transitioned into lead roles with films like Alludu Garu, scoring major hits such as Assembly Rowdy and Pedarayudu in the 1990s, while also establishing his own production banner in Telugu cinema.

On the other side, Nani continues his streak of picking intriguing antagonists. After casting Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar in HIT 3 and Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko in Dasara, Nani is now set to face off against Mohan Babu in The Paradise. The film is being helmed by Srikanth Odela, the director of Dasara, adding further excitement to this much-anticipated project.
