Actress Mrunal Thakur, who won hearts in the Telugu industry with Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna, is currently immersed in her Hindi film commitments. She is gearing up for the release of Son of Sardar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn later this month. In a lighthearted and candid conversation, Mrunal revealed a quirky personal habit she follows to resist her favorite traditional indulgence—Maharashtrian Puran Poli.
“I love food way too much,” she admitted with a laugh. “The problem is, when I’m not on a diet, I also don’t work out. And yet, everyone around me seems to be dieting even when they aren’t working out! So, when Puran Poli is made at home, I literally lock myself in my room to avoid temptation.”
Despite her self-confessed foodie status, Mrunal manages to stay in shape through a balanced and mindful approach. Instead of spending long hours at the gym, she prefers short, mixed-format workouts that fit her hectic filming schedule. Her focus is on sustainability and enjoying her routine rather than pushing extremes.
On the professional front, Mrunal continues to bridge Bollywood and South Indian cinema with ease. She’s currently working on the high-profile Telugu film Dacoit opposite Adivi Sesh and recently appeared in the much-anticipated sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD.
Whether it’s dodging Puran Poli or juggling projects across industries, Mrunal Thakur’s relatable charm and discipline continue to win over fans across the country.
