In a troubling incident reminiscent of the Raja Raghuvanshi honeymoon murder, a 32-year-old man named Tejeswar was found dead in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh — just one month after his wedding. Tejeswar, who went missing on June 17, exactly a month after marrying Ishwarya on May 18, was discovered in a canal under mysterious circumstances.
Tejeswar, a private land surveyor and dance teacher, was reportedly in a strained marriage. His family has alleged that Ishwarya was having an extramarital affair and conspired with her mother, Sujatha, to kill him. Both women have been taken into custody for questioning, and police have launched a full investigation into the case. However, a senior police officer stated that it’s too early to comment on the allegations.
According to relatives, Ishwarya had a prior relationship with a bank employee, which she continued even as she was preparing to marry Tejeswar. Their wedding, initially scheduled for February, was postponed after Ishwarya briefly disappeared. When she returned, she insisted on going ahead with the marriage despite the family’s apprehensions.
This case, following the widely publicized murder of businessman Raja Raghuvanshi during his honeymoon in Meghalaya — where his wife Sonam and her lover were arrested — has revived public discourse around trust and safety in relationships. Police are pursuing all angles as the investigation continues.
