The MLA quota MLC elections in Andhra Pradesh took a significant step forward today with the commencement of the nomination filing process. Given the strong presence of the NDA alliance in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, they are expected to secure all the MLC positions under this quota.
A notable development in this process was Konidela Naga Babu, the elder brother of Pawan Kalyan, officially filing his nomination for the MLC position. Following the directives of Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, Naga Babu submitted his nomination to the returning officer, marking an important political move for the party.
What stood out in this nomination process was that it wasn’t projected solely as a Janasena-backed initiative, but rather as a collective effort of the entire NDA alliance. In a significant show of unity, AP IT Minister and TDP’s next-generation leader, Nara Lokesh, accompanied Naga Babu during the nomination filing.
Adding further weight to the nomination, Lokesh personally signed the document, reinforcing the strong bond between the alliance partners. Political observers see this as a reflection of the deepening collaboration between TDP and Janasena, particularly after Pawan Kalyan stood firmly by Chandrababu Naidu during his arrest.
Interestingly, instead of Pawan Kalyan accompanying Naga Babu, it was Lokesh who took part in this crucial moment, signaling the growing internal synergy within the NDA alliance and strengthening their collective political front in Andhra Pradesh.
