Earlier, the NDA government had officially confirmed that Nagababu would be given a place in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet ranks. The initial plan was to first appoint him as an MLC under the MLA quota, which would then validate his cabinet minister rank.
However, in recent times, the situation has taken multiple twists and turns. At one point, reports suggested that Nagababu might not be included in the cabinet and could instead be offered a Rajya Sabha MP position, as the AP BJP wing was eyeing a cabinet berth.
Another speculation indicated that if the Rajya Sabha MP plan didn’t materialize, Nagababu could be considered for a key state-level corporation chairman position. This move was seen as a strategic adjustment, especially if BJP aimed to strengthen its presence in the Upper House by securing the MP position.
Now, putting an end to all the speculation, it has been officially confirmed that Nagababu will be made an MLC under the MLA quota nominations. Janasena chief and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has reportedly instructed party ranks to initiate the necessary documentation for Nagababu’s inclusion in the MLC elections.
With Pawan Kalyan finalizing this decision, Nagababu’s path to securing a cabinet rank in AP is now clear. He is also likely to be assigned a significant cabinet portfolio.
This latest development marks the fulfillment of Nagababu’s long-standing cabinet aspirations while also energizing Janasena cadres, who have been eagerly awaiting this move.
