Akkineni Nagarjuna came to Chanchalguda Central Prison on Saturday to meet his business partner Nimmagadda Prasad who is the the 12th accused in the charge sheet of Jagan’s illegal assets case.Speaking to the media after the mulaqat, the actor said that Nimmagadda Prasad is his good friend and they used to meet daily till before he was put behind the bars. Nagarjuna added that Nimmagadda’s arrest is unfortunate.
Nimmagadda had reportedly invested nearly Rs. 800 crores in Jagan companies as part of the quid pro quo deal. In return, he received around 15 thousand acres for his Vanpic project from the YSR government. Cases were booked against Prasad under sections 120B, IPC 420, 409 and 477A of PC act.
