Naidu attack on Pulivendula costs him heavily!

It has become a routine for Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to make wild allegations against political leaders from Pulivendula assembly constituency in Kadapa district, the native of chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, describing them as rowdies, factionists and anti-social elements.

Whenever the YSRC leaders obstructed Naidu and other TDP leaders from taking out rallies or going on yatras, he has been saying that Jagan was trying to unleash rowdy rajyam of Pulivendula.

He has been alleging that Jagan wants to convert entire Andhra Pradesh into Pulivendula, where faction leaders are ruling the roost.

Thus, he has been trying to create an impression among the people of the rest of the state that Pulivendula constituency is a haven for criminals, factionists and rowdy elements. And this loose talk from him is going to cost him and his party heavily.

According to latest reports, senior TDP leader from Pulivendula V Satish Kumar Reddy, who had been a hardcore loyalist of Naidu all these years, is all set to resign from the party and join the YSR Congress party in a day or two.

It is learnt he has already held talks with the family members of Jagan Mohan Reddy and got the nod from him. He is likely to hold a meeting of his supporters at Pulivendula on Tuesday to take a final decision.

Apparently, Satish Reddy was hurt at the way Naidu has been degrading Pulivendula in his speeches regularly.

Though the TDP chief has been referring to Jagan and his party leaders, Satish has felt that Naidu’s comments have caused huge damage to the party in general and him personally. So, it is better to join the YSRC, he thought.

Satish Reddy has been the pillar of strength for the TDP in Kadapa and particularly in Pulivendula.

He had been contesting against Jagan regularly. He even grew his beard in protest against Jagan’s hegemony in Pulivendula and vowed not to remove it till he defeated Jagan. But now, he himself is surrendering to the YSRC chief.
