Telugu Desam Party president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu seems to have earned the goodwill of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by giving the Rajya Sabha ticket to union railway minister Suresh Prabhu.
Obviously, Naidu is expecting something from Modi in reciprocation. No, it is not the special status to Andhra Pradesh or a hefty special financial package. But it is some important posts and positions to the TDP leaders at the Centre in government or government bodies.
According to sources, Naidu has put forth the demand for a Governor post to Mothkupalli Narasimhulu, another Minister of State berth in the Central cabinet and a few nominated posts in the central government undertakings.One does not know Modi might accept all these demands, but would concede at least some of them. Watch out for more developments.
