For TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu, it seems there is no value for hard-earned public money or taxpayers money.
He treats public money like ‘water’Lagadapa and flows it down the drain for his personal gains and party’s interests.
In the latest instance towards his end of first tenure as CM, Naidu has prepared ground to spend Rs 400 crore public money for doing election surveys for TDP for upcoming Assembly polls.
This money is being flown like water into the benami company of so-called “Andhra Octopus” Lagadapati Rajagopal.
Naidu scripted a perfect ‘quid pro quo’ sketch to benefit Lagadapati and in return get surveys done for free for TDP, all at the cost of public money.
TDP government floated a tender for construction of lift irrigation project CBR-YVR-HNSS (Chitravathi balancing reservoir-Yogi Vemanan reservoir- Handri Neeva) at a cost of Rs 1,182 crore.
Tender conditions have been prescribed in such a manner that the contract goes only to a company, which is a benami company of Lagadapati.
Normally, in these kind of works, Joint Ventures are not allowed but for the sake of Lagadapati, this has been relaxed to enable benami company enter into JV with another Naidu’s coterie company and do works.
Not only this, they are allowed to bid in excess of 5 per cent over the tender value.
A Government Order (GO) giving mobilisation advance of Rs 400 crore (public money) to Lagadapati’s company is in the making.
These Rs 400 crore will be utilised to take up surveys on behalf of TDP in every Assembly constituency from March till the date of polling by Lagadapati team every week to alert Naidu on the party’s ground situation, candidates winning prospects, where they can improve, how they can ensure bulk votes etc.
All this will be done at the cost of public money.
Despite Lagadapati’s surveys failed miserably in recent TS Assembly polls, Naidu continues to bet on him at the cost of public money.
