It looks as if the memory of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is too short, if one goes by the statements he made and the way he behaved during the protests at Visakhapatnam, the other day.
He took strong exception to the way the police behaved with him and the ruling YSR Congress handled his tour, which was permitted.
He seems to be forgetting the fact that the Visakhapatnam police have issued permission for his motor cycle rally but with limitations.
The permission accorded to him was subject to conditions and can be terminated any time if deem fit.
He also seemed to have forgot how his party leaders held protests when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then BJP president Amit Shah visited the State before the 2019 general elections.
The convoy of Amit Shah was stoned in Tirupati or the black flags shown to Narendra Modi all over the state, when the latter visited.
Chandrababu Naidu and his party leaders’ memory is too short or they remember the issues only that suits their politics.
On the other hand, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s legal team is inefficient in handling such cases.
When a petition was moved in the High Court on Naidu’s visit to Visakhapatnam, the government could not justify the cancellation of permission given to the TDP and the conditions laid in the permission.
The legal team of the Jagan Mohan Reddy government puts up very poor show in every case, leading to the courts and tribunals pulling up the government.
The government was pulled up by the central administrative tribunal in the case of IRS officer Jasti Krishna Kishore.
The High Court had pulled up the government in several cases on Amaravati, the power purchase agreements and other issues.
Likewise, the High Court also pulled up the government for arresting Chandrababu Naidu in Visakhapatnam.
It is high time that Jagan Mohan Reddy government does some home work on the legal services or law department. It should be provided with enough teeth to handle the courts or else, it will continue to face embracement from judiciary every time.
