On the morning of 2nd April, a young SI named Siddaiah was all excited about taking few days leave to be with his pregnant wife who was due to deliver their first child on 5th May. Little did he know that his happiness will be cut short by a team of dreaded terrorists who brutally attacked him and his team, leaving him and a CI severely wounded and a constable killed.
Soon after the news broke out, Siddaiah’s wife Dharanisha collapsed on the spot and she was rushed to the LB Nagar Kamineni Hospitals, where Siddaiah is undergoing multiple surgeries. In a tragic coincidence, Dharanisha delivered a baby boy today in the same hospital, while her husband still lies battling for his life with a bullet still stuck in his brain. Three other bullets from Siddaiah’s stomach, chest and head have been removed.
In retaliation, the Telangana Police conducted a huge manhunt and nakabandi and finally got the terrorists killed in an encounter. The Telangana Home Ministry has announced 40 lakh exgratia to the relatives of Constable Nagaraju and a government job to one of his relatives. CI Bala Gangi Reddy’s condition too is said to be critical.
