The Nandamuri family is mourning a great loss with the passing of Padmaja, wife of Nandamuri Jayakrishna, who breathed her last in the early hours of today at the age of 73.
Padmaja, the eldest daughter-in-law of legendary actor and former CM Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (Sr. NTR), also belonged to the Daggubati family as the sister of senior leader Daggubati Venkateswara Rao.
Family members revealed that Padmaja had been ailing for the past few months. On Sunday night, she developed severe breathing complications and was admitted to the hospital. Despite doctors’ efforts, she could not be saved.
Her demise has left the Nandamuri family and well-wishers deeply saddened. Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu rushed from Vijayawada, while BJP MP Daggubati Purandeswari traveled from Delhi to pay their last respects.
