The much-anticipated film Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is likely to be postponed from its originally planned release on April 30. Reports suggest that the makers are considering a more favorable window in May or June to ensure a better final output.

The delay is primarily attributed to pending VFX work for a few key sequences, with the complete footage expected to be ready only by April 26. Additionally, the team recently carried out two reshoots to enhance the film’s overall impact and entertainment value. While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, industry insiders believe a postponement is highly probable.

Interestingly, Sukumar is said to be closely supervising crucial action sequences and overseeing the VFX quality. The film is being directed by his former assistant Buchi Babu Sana, and this added involvement is aimed at ensuring top-notch execution.

Ram Charan has reportedly dedicated nearly two years to the project, undergoing a major physical transformation, including a muscular look and long hair, highlighting the scale and commitment behind the film.

Sources indicate that Peddi has shaped up extremely well, and a slight delay could help deliver a more polished cinematic experience. Industry experts feel that a mid-summer release might actually work in the film’s favor, especially with strong anticipation among fans.

This trend isn’t new, as big films like Salaar and Pushpa: The Rise also opted for delays to perfect their VFX and overall quality. With Telugu cinema expanding its global reach, filmmakers are prioritizing high production standards. Meanwhile, the film’s music has already created buzz, with songs like “Chikri Chikri” gaining popularity, and the teaser receiving a positive response, further building excitement ahead of release.
