After the surprise success of Court, director Ram Jagadeesh has firmly entered the spotlight—and now, industry buzz suggests he may be teaming up once again with Nani, this time possibly bringing Dulquer Salmaan into the mix. If the rumors hold true, this collaboration between Nani, Dulquer, and Ram Jagadeesh could shape up to be one of the most exciting developments in Telugu cinema.
Produced by Nani, Court defied expectations with its modest cast and budget, emerging as one of the most profitable films of the year. It struck gold both critically and commercially, especially after debuting on Netflix, where it gained pan-India recognition. Ram Jagadeesh’s nuanced handling of the intense courtroom drama—blending a gripping narrative with a strong social message—has marked him as a talent to watch.
According to sources, Nani had already signed a second project with Jagadeesh during the making of Court. What’s creating additional buzz now is the rumored casting of Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. The upcoming film is said to be concept-driven, and though details remain tightly guarded, early discussions between all parties have reportedly gone well.
With Nani once again backing the project as producer and a star like Dulquer potentially headlining it, expectations are naturally high. If Court succeeded without any traditional commercial elements, this next film—set on a larger scale—could have the potential to reach even greater heights.
The project is currently in pre-production, and an official announcement is expected once the script is finalized. Meanwhile, Nani is gearing up to join the sets of The Paradise next month. Until then, director Srikanth Odela will continue filming portions that don’t require his presence. Interestingly, Ram Jagadeesh is also said to be interested in directing Nani himself in a future project.
