is known for striking the right balance between quality and variety in his films, consistently delivering fresh content in Tollywood. Over the past year and a half, he has entertained audiences with multiple intriguing projects. While Nani has always expressed interest in doing a sleek action drama, director Sujeeth came forward with an exciting script, backed by DVV Danayya’s production house.
However, even before the project gained momentum, speculation has risen that it will be shifting hands. Reports suggest that the Nani-Sujeeth film will no longer be produced by DVV Entertainments and is now moving to a new production house.
Initially, after Hit-3, Nani was set to collaborate with Sujeeth. However, the director is currently occupied with OG, which is dependent on Pawan Kalyan’s schedule. With Hari Hara Veeramallu yet to be completed, OG is expected to take longer than planned, causing further delays for Sujeeth. In the meantime, Nani is moving ahead with The Paradise.
The latest update reveals that DVV Entertainments has backed out of producing the Nani-Sujeeth film for reasons unknown. However, this does not mean the project is shelved. Instead, Venkat Boyanapalli, who previously produced Shyam Singha Roy with Nani, has stepped in to take over the film. Venkat shares a strong rapport with Nani, often publicly expressing his admiration for the star. After facing a setback with Saindhav, he is now looking to make a strong comeback with this collaboration, hoping to recreate the Shyam Singha Roy success.
Many believe that DVV Danayya’s decision to step away might not be well-timed. Given the existing commitments of both Nani and Sujeeth, waiting a little longer could have been beneficial. If OG turns out to be a blockbuster, a Sujeeth-Nani film immediately after would generate significant buzz, making it an easy win for Danayya.
