Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is widely regarded as the most powerful person in the country and one of the most influential global leaders. Meeting him is generally considered a challenging task, even for top political figures across India. Surprisingly, Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh, son of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, appears to have developed a smooth rapport with the Prime Minister.
A few months ago, during the Amaravati relaunch project, Modi specifically expressed his desire to meet Lokesh at the Prime Minister’s Office. This was followed by a courtesy visit from Lokesh and his family to the PMO, paving the way for a relatively easy line of communication with the Prime Minister.
Lokesh reportedly met Modi today on short notice, with the meeting lasting about an hour. This marks perhaps the third individual meeting between Lokesh and Modi over the past few months. While other leaders, including Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan, have faced long waits and difficulties securing an appointment with the Prime Minister, Lokesh seems to have a distinct advantage in navigating the corridors of power in Delhi.
As Lokesh continues to emerge as a significant figure in Andhra Pradesh politics, his growing influence and ability to command attention at the central level is becoming increasingly evident.
