Blade Removed from Saif Ali Khan’s Spine, Shocking Details

January 17, 2025

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra West residence in Mumbai early in the morning, at around 2:30 am, by an intruder. Saif was at home with his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, when the assailant attacked. The intruder stabbed Saif six times, including a severe wound to his neck. A 2.5-inch blade fragment was later removed from Saif’s spine after a five-hour surgery. The image of the blade removed from his body has since gone viral on social media.

Doctors at Lilavati Hospital reported that Saif is recovering well. He has been moved out of the ICU and is now walking with minimal pain, though visitor restrictions remain to prevent infection. The attacker gained access to Saif’s apartment via the fire escape and demanded ₹1 crore as ransom. During the incident, Eliyama Philip, a nurse caring for Jeh, was injured while protecting the child. She described the attacker as a man in his 30s to 40s, armed with a wooden stick and a blade.

Saif confronted the intruder upon hearing the commotion, but was attacked. The family managed to escape to the upper floor of the building, while the attacker fled the scene. The Mumbai Police have formed 20 teams to track him down. CCTV footage has shown the suspect fleeing but revealed no signs of forced entry, leading authorities to believe that the attacker was familiar with the building’s layout and accessed the apartment through an adjacent compound. The police continue their efforts to locate and arrest the attacker.
