Actress Poonam Kaur, who hails from Punjab and carved a notable space for herself in Telugu cinema, has made disturbing and emotional revelations in a recent interview. Despite a slowdown in film offers over the years, Poonam chose to continue living in Hyderabad, staying closely connected to the industry that gave her recognition.

Over time, her name frequently surfaced in political discussions, largely due to her sarcastic and outspoken social media posts targeting certain film personalities. However, Poonam has now opened up about the intense pressure and alleged threats she claims to have faced from political circles behind the scenes.

She revealed that at one point, a group of individuals from Kadapa allegedly approached her with a demand: they wanted her to hold a press meet and speak against a particular actor. According to Poonam, the group initially tried to bribe her with money, and when that failed, they allegedly offered her a political position. When she firmly refused both offers, she claims the situation took a dark turn. Poonam alleged that she was threatened with the release of nude videos in an attempt to intimidate and coerce her into complying.

She said this was the first time she had spoken publicly about the incident, adding that she had silently carried the trauma for years, sharing it only with her family.

Poonam also spoke emotionally about the personal damage she claims was caused by statements made by former YSRCP leader Posani Krishna Murali. She said his public remarks about her deeply affected her personal life at a critical time. According to Poonam, she was considering marriage then, but after the press meet and the controversy that followed, her life took a painful turn. She stated that she suffered significant personal loss and was pushed into a situation where she had no choice but to quietly endure the fallout, with the impact extending far beyond her professional career.

Her revelations have now sparked serious discussions about power, coercion, and the silent struggles faced by individuals in the film industry.
