Vrushakarma Glimpse: Chaitanya’s Mystical Transformation

After scoring the biggest blockbuster of his career with Thandel, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up to surprise audiences with a completely new avatar in Vrushakarma. The film is directed by Karthik Dandu, who earlier impressed with his mystical thriller Virupaksha. With the promos already generating strong buzz, the recently released first glimpse has further heightened expectations.
The glimpse begins on a chilling note, showing the antagonist sketching an unusual drawing. In a shocking turn, the sketch seemingly manifests into reality as a man is killed by a bat that emerges from the villain’s body. A gripping voice-over states that whenever supernatural forces disrupt the balance of creation, destiny chooses a Vrushakarma in the form of the protagonist.
Karthik Dandu once again dives deep into the mystical thriller space, crafting the teaser in a way that leaves viewers intrigued. His signature style appears elevated this time, presenting a world that feels both eerie and visually distinct from typical Indian cinematic settings.
Naga Chaitanya undergoes a remarkable transformation for the role. Sporting a stylish and physically intense look, he appears to have dedicated significant effort to embody the character. His screen presence, action sequences, and overall demeanor hint at a performance-driven role.
Sparsh Srivastava makes a strong impression as the antagonist, bringing a genuinely menacing aura to the screen. The glimpse also introduces important characters played by Meenakshi Chaudhary and Jayaram.
On the technical front, cinematographer Regula D Herian delivers striking visuals that transport viewers into a carefully designed mystical universe. Production designer Sri Nagendra Tangala’s imaginative world-building adds further depth. The intense background score by Ajaneesh B. Loknath effectively amplifies the tension and mood.
Backed by SVCC and Sukumar Writings, the film is produced by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar, and presented by Bapineedu. The production values appear grand and uncompromising.
Though the core premise may seem familiar within the supernatural genre, the execution — particularly the sound design, visuals, and narrative treatment — sets Vrushakarma apart. Overall, the first glimpse promises a visually rich, adventurous experience packed with mystery and spectacle, significantly raising curiosity about the film.
