The Andhra Pradesh BJP Party has appealed to the TDP to solve the drinking water problem in Rayalaseema and also ensure water for irrigation. They also joined hands with Jagan Mohan Reddy in terming the Telangana irrigation projects as illegal and asked Chandrababu Naidu to prevent them.It is really become common practice for national parties to be encouraging ambivalent stands on important issues.
For example, Telangana Congress and BJP Parties support the irrigation projects although Congress objects to any sort of redesign. In AP, the BJP is speaking out against the projects. Congress is mum on the issue. The various politicians seem to be reflecting their personal opinions rather than the stand of their parties on the issues. And do the national parties even have a stand on these issues?
Probably not for how can the BJP and Congress support the projects in one state and oppose the same projects in another State? In allowing local sentiments to take precedence over what is actually the right thing to do, they are setting a bad precedent for the future
