BJP leader Tirath Singh Rawat, who was appointed as Chief Minister of Uttarakhand recently attracted social media trolls after he made disrespectful comments on women about their dressing.
Going into detail, the newly appointed Chief Minister took part in an event organised by the Uttarakhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The event was held in Dehradun.
Addressing the event, the Chief Minister found fault with the parents of the kids wearing ripped jeans. He said parents wearing ripped jeans are setting a bad example to their kids.
The Chief Minister even found fault with children wearing dress that expose their knees and compared Indian culture and Western culture. When the Western nations are following Indian culture like Yoga, we are running towards nudity, he said.
The Chief Minister in the viral video opined that parents are giving Showing bare knees, wearing ripped denim, and looking like rich kids as the values to their kids. He questioned, is a girl showing their knees is good?.
Within no time, the video went viral on social media, and the opposition leaders and netizens trolled the Chief Minister and asked does wearing ripped jeans destroy Indian Culture.
