Two super hits can do a world of good to anybody’s career. People start believing in your choices and keep on encouraging until you terribly let them down. Nikhil, who has found the rhythm with Swamy Rara and Karthikeya is reaping the fruits of his hard work.
His latest film Surya vs. Surya is faring better than the talk it generated on the first day. Despite getting average reviews from most of the critics, Surya vs. Surya is doing well at US Box Office too. This film had the best weekend compared to other new releases.
It has collected better than Siddharth’s Hit film Enakkul Oruvan that received glowing reviews from almost all the top critics of Tamil cinema. SvS collected $36177 in its first weekend whereas EO collected $24460.
Siddharth was once regarded as the blockbuster hero with films like NVNV and Bommarillu to his credit. He may be doing good in Tamil movies now, but his range is less compared to that of Nikhil’s in Telugu films at this point. When Surya vs. Surya got 74 screens in US, Sid’s Enakkul Oruvan was allotted 35 screens only.
