In an exciting development for Telugu cinema, buzz suggests that young stars Nikhil Siddhartha and Teja Sajja may soon share the screen in a high-concept pan-India film. The mastermind bringing them together is none other than Kannada sensation Rishab Shetty, the creator of the widely acclaimed Kantara.
Currently, Rishab is busy directing Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1, a much-anticipated prequel to the original. Once that wraps up, he is expected to join Jai Hanuman, being helmed by Telugu filmmaker Prashanth Varma. Following that, he’ll be stepping into Bollywood with The Pride of Bharat, a film that’s already been officially announced.
If all goes as planned, Rishab will start work on the Nikhil-Teja film in 2028, after wrapping his ongoing commitments. Reports indicate the film will revolve around a unique concept, and both young actors have reportedly been finalized for pivotal roles.
The movie is expected to be produced under a new Kannada production banner, also set up by Rishab Shetty himself. The vision is to mount it as a pan-Indian film, shot in both Telugu and Kannada, and released nationwide.
While official confirmation is still pending, sources close to the project suggest that more details will emerge in the next 2–3 months. Interestingly, big stars like Yash and Jr NTR have also expressed a desire to collaborate with Rishab Shetty. However, it seems the Kantara director is first choosing to shape his cinematic vision with the younger generation of actors.
This upcoming collaboration, if confirmed, will surely raise anticipation and expand Rishab Shetty’s growing footprint in Indian cinema.
