Puri Jagan makes films in a jiffy. But, for some films, the film bombs as quickly too. Due to this, his market value is on a down spiral. With Jyothi Lakshmi’s going bust at the box-office, his stocks are further down. Before Jyothi Lakshmi, he made Iddarammayilato, Heart Attack and Temper. All of them didn’t turn out money spinners for the producers. All these seem to be affecting his latest flick ‘Loafer. ‘Though, the producers managed to sell the rights for Nizam area, the deals are still underway for the other regions.
These appears to be major mismatch between Puri Jagan’s market and producer C Kalyan’s demands. They are afraid of underselling too as it could mean losses. There’s something more to this story! Wags tell us that Puri Jagan has been demanding Rs 7 crore for the movie. Initally, it was decided that Rs 5 crore would be his remuneration. Now, Puri is confident that the product is very good and would rake in moolah. So, he hiked his fee by Rs 2 crore.
