Count on Revanth Reddy for effective punchlines and searing one-liners. These incisive comments are the chief reasons that endeared him to the people at large. Soon after he took over , he displayed this ability to attack with terse yet piercing one-liners. But, his comments are loaded with deep insights too. This is coming out in abundance after he has been appointed the PCC chief for Telangana.
Recently, he said that Sharmila’s party will have no impact in Telangana. He said people’s sentiment is always greater than family’s sentiment. He implied that anti-KCR sentiment was stronger than YSR sentiment of Sharmila. He further said that though Sharmila, her mother Vijayamma and Jagan campaigned in 2014, the party could win only one MP seat and three MLA seats. “What did change in these five years and what did they do in this period to get more votes in 2023,” he asked. He however refused to speculate whose prospects she will damage in 2023.
He also said that KCR was fast becoming a dictator like Kim Jong Un. Telangana was a surplus state and KCR turned it into a debtor state in just seven year. He said Telangana was a goose that laid golden eggs. However, instead of collecting the golden eggs, KCR was hell-bent on killing the goose. Revanth says that he uses sharp words against KCR, but he never uses abusive language against anyone.
