There is some great news for the job aspirants this new year. DOPT (Department of Personnel Training) has issued a communique to all the departments directing them to dispense with the practice of Job interviews for all the Junior level posts.
DOPT has notified that 31st Dec 2015 will be the deadline for all the interview based recruitments. As per the directive most of the Group-C posts and non-gazetted posts under Group-B will come under purview of this directive.However, Skill tests and Physical tests will be continued for the selection process.
Officials further clarified that marks achieved in the written tests will not be a criterion for selection but will only be of qualifying nature.All the ministries were asked to send the consolidated reports by Jan 7 with details of names and number of posts which will come under this directive and also those posts which are exempted.
Department of public enterprises have also asked all their ministries to advise the PSU’s under their control to adopt revised mechanism for recruitment to all non-executive posts without interview.
This directive is believed to be in line with Prime Minister Modis’ Independence day address to undo with the interview process for all the non-critical posts to curb corruption as well as to simplify the process of recruitment.
