In view of Pushkarams, Marriage Ceremonies won’t be happening in East and West Godavari Districts for an year starting from June 11th.
Notably, There is difference of opinion among the Brahmin Community over the tenure of restrictions on the private functions. While a section of the them say Marriages could be performed 6 months after the completion of Pushkarams, Few others recommend 1 year period.
Godavari Pushkarams begin on Juy 14th when Bruhaspati enters Simharasi. People living on the East of Godavari will have to wait for 1 year and those on the west has to wait till Vijaya Dasami to get married.
