A major political scandal broke out in Telangana yesterday, resulting in the shifting of the Medical and Health portfolio from Etela Rajendar to Chief Minister KCR. A few farmers have filed complaints yesterday, accusing Etela of forcefully acquiring their lands for the development of a hatchery.
As soon as the news broke out, it shook the political scene in the Telugu states, and the Telangana Chief Minister even requested the Governor of the state to shift Etela’s portfolio to him.
While Etela has been repeatedly saying that he has not acquired any lands forcefully and that he’s been framed as a result of a major conspiracy, it is expected that he will take necessary actions after consulting with his followers and constituency members. Talking to the media, Etela made a few sarcastic comments, saying that he’s happy that his portfolio has now been shifted to the CM, but said that he genuinely wishes for the people of the state to get better medical treatment.
On the other hand, it is being said that serious actions could be taken against Etela once the Chief Secretary and ACB DGP file their reports and that the Chief Minister might very soon ask Etela to put in an emergency resignation.
For some time now, all’s not been well between Etela and KCR’s family, and despite having played a key role in the agitation for Telangana, Etela has become a target for KCR’s family for some time now, with KTR not giving an appointment to the minister for a few days now.
