North Korea’s supreme leader and dictator Kim Jong Un, who had once waged lonely war against United States and took on US President Donald Trump single-handedly, is reportedly in critical condition as his health allegedly deteriorated after undergoing a surgery recently. Speculations and rumours are rife over Kim’s health and several countries are closely monitoring the situation especially the United States.
According to reports, US Intelligence reports confirm that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un underwent a cardiovascular surgery. The reports indicate that 36-year-old Kim is seriously ill and he could be incapacitated. US officials are said to be monitoring the reports related to Kim’s ill health. Some US officials on condition of anonymity opine that the reports about Kim’s health are credible but the severity of his ill health can’t be ascertained.
Kim had recently missed the celebration of his grandfather’s birthday on April 15, which raised speculation about his well-being. He was last seen four days before that at a government meeting. His missing at grandfather’s birthday fueled the rumours about his ill health.
North Korea is very secret country. The country keeps a close watch on its media and controls what its citizens know of the outside world. The country is projected as military might, nuclear power and anti-American. It has a lot of restrictions on media. So, the exact information about Kim’s health is not easily known to outside world.
