“The movie is good. But the media through negative publicity is discouraging the audience from coming to the theaters. For some reason, they are bad-mouthing the film,” said Trivikram Srinivas about s/o Satyamurthy.
It is surprising to see even top directors like Trivikram blame the media for a poor response to their movies.
If the movie is good, then the audiences will watch it umpteen numbers of time irrespective of intentional bad publicity and if it is bad, no amount of positive feedback by the media can salvage the film. The audiences are the ultimate judges.
The problem with s/o Satyamurthy is that it came after Trivikram’s Attarintiki Daredi and Allu Arjun’s Race Gurram. Their earlier combination Julayi was also a big hit. Hence S/O Satyamurthy released with such high expectations.
Naturally, people are disappointed as they feel that the movie did not live up to their expectations.
