Nothing’s upcoming smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3, is officially on the horizon. CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the device will launch in Q3 2025, with an expected release between July and September. The announcement was made during Google’s The Android Show – I/O Edition, where Pei also revealed that the Phone 3 will carry a premium price tag of approximately £800 (around ₹90,000), positioning it significantly higher than its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 2, which debuted in India at ₹44,999.
Despite the absence of an official unveiling, Nothing has begun building anticipation by teasing the number “3” on social media—a subtle nod to the incoming flagship. During the Device Showcase segment of the Android Show, Pei briefly revealed a device—presumed to be the Phone 3—though it was intentionally blurred due to its unreleased status.
Pei described the Phone 3 as Nothing’s “first true flagship,” emphasizing that the company is “going all in” on both hardware and software to deliver a significantly upgraded user experience. He highlighted the use of premium materials and promised major performance improvements, underscoring the brand’s ambitions to compete at the top tier of the smartphone market.
With its flagship-level pricing, the Nothing Phone 3 is expected to take on premium rivals such as the iPhone 16 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and top-end offerings from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Vivo. Speculations suggest the Phone 3 could feature a titanium chassis, enhanced durability, and a high-performance chipset from either MediaTek or Qualcomm, aligning it with the industry’s most powerful devices.
The upcoming launch marks a pivotal moment for Nothing as it seeks to solidify its identity in a competitive flagship market. With its distinctive design language and focus on user-centric software, all eyes will be on how the Nothing Phone 3 stacks up against the established giants in the months ahead.
