Director Prashanth Neel, renowned for his gritty period action dramas like the KGF series and Salaar, is all set to continue his signature style with his next ambitious project, tentatively titled Dragon, starring NTR Jr in the lead. Known for crafting stories set against historical backdrops, Neel’s latest venture will reportedly kick off in the 1960s, following the rise of a young man entangled in a world of power, politics, and personal evolution.
After exploring the 1950s to 1980s in KGF and Salaar, Neel is aiming to blend intense political drama with raw, stylized action once again. He has already hinted that Dragon will surpass his previous films in terms of scale, emotion, and gripping storytelling.
Joining NTR in this period saga is Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth, who plays a rural woman from the 1960s. Her presence is expected to bring further authenticity and depth to the film’s historical setting.
NTR Jr, who is currently busy with the promotions of War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan, will fully commit to Dragon once his current engagements conclude. With Prashanth Neel’s reputation for delivering mass entertainers laced with emotion and grandeur, Dragon is already shaping up to be one of the most awaited pan-India films.
