Despite balancing his shoot for Prashanth Neel’s Dragon and promotional activities for his Bollywood debut War 2, NTR has quietly begun prepping for another highly anticipated project — a mythological drama with director Trivikram Srinivas. While the makers are yet to officially announce the title, fans have already dubbed it God of War, as the film is said to be based on the story of Lord Kartikeya, the revered God of War in Indian mythology.
This film is expected to be a lavish production, marking Trivikram’s first full-fledged foray into the mythological genre. Producer Naga Vamsi recently shared that the team initially planned to reveal the project with a video glimpse. However, after seeing the impressive visual quality of the teaser for Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana, they decided to hold off and rework their strategy.
Determined to deliver a visual spectacle that matches the scale of upcoming pan-Indian films, Trivikram is dedicating considerable time and budget to the film’s VFX. The team is also exploring a collaboration with a Hollywood studio — a move similar to director Atlee’s approach for his big-budget film with Allu Arjun — to ensure the project meets international standards.
