At Gamescom 2025, NVIDIA announced a major expansion of its DLSS 4 technology, now supported in more than 175 games and applications. The company also detailed new advancements in ray tracing, path tracing, and AI-powered rendering, reinforcing its position at the forefront of real-time graphics innovation.
Key upcoming titles including Borderlands 4, Hell is Us, and Fate Trigger will launch with DLSS 4 support, while Resident Evil Requiem and Directive 8020 will feature full path tracing. Other highly anticipated releases such as Phantom Blade Zero, PRAGMATA, and CINDER CITY are set to include ray tracing enhancements.
DLSS 4, introduced earlier this year alongside the GeForce RTX 50 Series, leverages Multi Frame Generation to produce up to three AI-generated frames for every traditionally rendered frame, delivering performance boosts of up to eight times. The technology also integrates DLSS Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, and NVIDIA Reflex for superior responsiveness and visual fidelity.
Among the newly announced DLSS 4-supported games are Black State, Cronos: The New Dawn, Honeycomb: The World Beyond, Lost Soul Aside, and The Outer Worlds 2, several of which will also be available via the GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform.
NVIDIA is also enhancing its companion platform with a significant update to the NVIDIA app. New features include global DLSS overrides for streamlined configuration, upgrades to the Project G-Assist AI assistant, and the reintroduction of classic 3D settings. The beta update launched on August 19, with full rollout expected the following week.
Additionally, NVIDIA showcased developments in its ACE generative AI tools, now integrated into Iconic Interactive’s upcoming title The Oversight Bureau. RTX Remix, the open-source modding platform, is expanding with new plug-ins, broader compatibility, and advanced particle system effects for over 160 classic titles.
To mark the launch of Borderlands 4, NVIDIA is offering an RTX 50 Series bundle through September 22. Purchasers of select RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 GPUs — including laptop variants — will receive the game and the exclusive Gilded Glory Pack DLC.
Matt Wuebbling, Vice President of Global GeForce Marketing at NVIDIA, stated: “DLSS 4 and path tracing are no longer cutting-edge experiments — they’re the foundation of modern PC gaming. Developers are embracing AI rendering to deliver stunning visuals and massive performance gains, bringing the future of real-time graphics to gamers today.”
