Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam has grossed more than USD 3.3 million and set a non-Baahubali record in the USA. Rangasthalam broke Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu’s record (USD 2.89M) which remained unbeatable for 3 years, and is racing towards the USD 3.5 million mark.
However, it looks like Rangasthalam’s US record is under threat already. Bharat Ane Nenu’s US distributors at Great India Films are planning a humongous release across 320 plus locations in the US. More than 2,000 premieres and close to 10,000 shows in the opening weekend are being planned for Bharat Ane Nenu.
And if the talk is good, the movie will overtake Rangasthalam’s lifetime collections in just 3 days. More than USD 1.5-2M is expected from the premieres alone and the full run collections may even touch the USD 5M mark, considering Mahesh’s craze in the US.
Fans are disappointed with Mahesh’s last two outings. But the good news is that there has been an excellent positive buzz for Bharat Ane Nenu, thanks to the super hit audio album, impactful trailer and the promotional stills, which are creating a huge hype around the movie.
