Recently writer-director Koratala Siva has quashed all rumors engulfing the possible title of his second ever feature film where he is gonna direct none other than Mahesh Babu. Within days of those title-rumours drying out, a fresh story is being heard in Film Nagar now. Check this out. 

Rumour mills are busy churning out another new title for Mahesh Babu, and this time it is ‘Ma Akka Bangaram’. They indicated that Koratala Siva has prepared a nice family entertainer that got immense sister sentiment all over and Attarintiki fame Nadiya is going to play that pivotal role. Such films are not new for Mahesh as earlier he has done Arjun with Gunasekar where the whole story revolves around saving her sister only.

Coming to the title, if Pawan Kalyan could keep his demigod status aside to go ahead with “Attarintiki Daredi” and Ram Charan could use “Govindudu Andarivadele”, then surely “Ma Akka Bangaram” will fit this big league star. We have to see what Koratala Siva will say anyway!

Andhra Boy Vishal who went to Kollywood and knocked the hearts of Tamil Tambis later bowled Telugu movie lovers with high voltage mass entertainers like Pandem Kodi,Pogaru, Salute. He also showed his acting prowess in films like Vaadu Veedu and Indrudu. 

Vishal’s dreams of making it big in Tollywood received boost with his recent entertainer Poojai starring Shruti Hasan under Hari’s direction started getting stable response. Vishal who is over the moon with the film’s success as it happens to be his first on his banner Vishal Film Factory, is now planning to expand its brand equity. 

According to sources Vishal is planning to produce big budget films along with him and other top Tollywood stars. Inside talk is he already roped in a Telugu director. A source says “Vishal and his sister-in-law Shriya are discussing few stories with leading directors and like to dish out good Telugu films, since they are basically, Telugu-speaking individuals and their love for Telugu is obvious” 

Wonder who will be the top star of Tollywood, teaming with Vishal.

Earlier there was talk that ‘mega’ director VV Vinayak developed differences with Mega Family and hence he is not being seen or heard in those circles. As this most acclaimed masala film maker was not present at audio launch of Govindudu Andarivadele, gossips got wings and with his name tagged with Akkineni Akhil’s debut it got confirmed that Vinayak distanced from Mega camp. 

The other day however when Vinayak took stage by a storm with his compliments on mega heroes at ‘Pilla Nuvvuleni Jeevitham’ music release event, he has given a befitting reply to all the rumors. He stated that almost all the heroes in Mega camp have Megastar Chiru’s face-cuts, body language and humble nature. Probably Vinayak is the only director at the venue who showcased his admiration towards Megastar with the best of words. Maybe he will direct the much hyped 150th flick of Chiru or he may not, but the Mega-Vinayak bonding goes on.

Versatile hero Vikram’s I directed by Shankar is attracting the attention of all. After the spectacular launch of its audio in the presence of Super Star Rajinikanth and Hollywood action hero Arnold Schwarznnegger, the film made a lasting impression with its teasers and promos. 

Vikram’s giant menacing avatar captured the imagination of Telugu distributors and exhibitors. Now many are competing with each other to bag the rights of the film and already many are rushing to Chennai to bag own the coveted rights of the film. 

Sources say Tamil producer can make more than 25 crores by selling the rights in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Though Shankar says the film’s budget didnot cross Rs 100 crores, many think otherwise. 

Vikram is reeling under flops like Raavan and Naanna but his I is selling beyond expectations. A distributor says “Already, the magnum opus has been bought for around 10 crores in Nizam and 5 crores for Vizag and 2.5 crore for East and West Godavari regions, so Tamil producer Ravichandran could close business very soon”.

If anyone thinks that Prince Mahesh Babu’s stocks or fan following took a beating following twin flops of 1-Nenokkadine and Aagadu, then they should have second thoughts. 

According to insiders a top producer who made three films with Stylish Star Allu Arjun and a film with Power Star Pawan Kalyan gave a cheque of Rs 22 crores shocking Tollywood Super Star himself. 

Mahesh who drew Rs 18 crores for his previous project kept the offer on hold. A source says “On one hand producers demand refund from big stars, but on the other, a producer goes ahead and puts up the fancy pay cheque before him, but actor hasn’t taken a call”. He goes on to add “His stardom is perfectly intact, so if the said film is wrapped up below 43 crores, still producer can make decent profit”.

If Mahesh takes the offer than he will become the highest paid actor in Tollywood.

Earlier we have heroes like Raviteja and Allari Naresh who used to attack box-office continuously with their entertaining flicks. But these days they have slowed down immensely and turned like our star heroes who have no consistency in constantly providing entertainment to their fans and cine lovers. But Tamil hero Vishal, who is popular as dark hero, is taking that mantle of delivering double dose in a year for Telugu audiences.

If we take Vishal’s films from last two years, he is quite consistent in providing mass-entertainment to Telugu audiences along with his Tamil base. In 2013, he has come up with Ventadu-Vetadu (Samar in Tamil) and Palnadu in January and November months. Now in 2014, we have witnessed his Indrudu in June and now in November Pooja got released. 

Much to our amusement, Vishal is getting ready with Tamil flick Aaambala which will have a simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu. Vishal is keen on striking Tollywood again in December or January 2015 as per the updates. Whoever comes or not, Vishal is here with his next round of attack.

Fund Raising is heard once again in the wake of hudhud storm sweeping past Northern Andhra some time back. Hudhud swallowed everything leaving no trace of life for the first time after 1980 floods. 

No person or framer can recover for another two decades. All farms be it mango, banana, cocunut was destroyed without any trace. This is the reason why many Tollywood celebrities, industrialists and politicians cutting across regions are contributing generously. 

Tollywood till now contributed around 5 crores for AP CM relief fund. But the amount too small to solve the problems and sorrows of people. So Tollywood biggies are discussing a plan to conduct a big fund raising event so that they can get huge amounts for the relief operations. 

Nothing is impossible if influential persons like Dasari Narayana Rao, Murali Mohan,Mohan Babu,Chiranjeevi, Ramanaidu join hands. Hope they come toghther and lend a helping hand to hudhud victims and even if they can raise 20 crores it will be helpful for Andhra people.

In the good old days, jaggery vendors would stock up jaggery to sell it when the prices rise. Tamil Superstar Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’ has become a smash hit at the box-office. Excluding Rajinikanth’s films, Kaththi broke all the existing Tamil records and the first weekend collections are huge. Kaththi opened up with mixed response but Vijay’s star power did the magic at the box-office. According to our sources, a special screening of Kaththi is likely to be held for Pawan Kalyan tomorrow. 

Telugu version of Kaththi is scheduled to hit the theaters on October 31st but we are hearing reports that discussions are under progress between the camps of Pawan and Vijay. Powerstar wants to take a decision after watching the film and Vijay doesn’t want to sell the remake rights of Kaththi as he wants to extend his Telugu market. 

Names of Harish Shankar and VV Vinayak are under consideration to direct the Telugu remake of Kaththi. As Vinayak is already busy with Akhil’s debut movie, Pawan might prefer to work with Harish Shankar, says a source close to Pawan’s camp. We will get a clarity on Kaththi within this week.
