Actor Vishnu Manchu today announced “Dr.Mohan Babu Rural Health Scheme” in the Tirupati region. To begin with his teams consisting of students from Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust social responsibility team ‘ Army Green’ have begun the scheme in 5 villages in the region. Soon all the villages in Chandragiri Mandal will be covered and this is going to be a yearly routine henceforth.   The aim of this Rural Health Scheme is to reduce child mortality, disease burden in all age group and to improve maternal health.

The village adoption scheme will also enhance access to health services that is scarce today in these backward regions. Under this rural scheme, villagers from the adopted villages will be provided medical benefit like various medical tests and medicines worth 4 to 5 lakh per individual for free. The Rural Health Scheme’s main intend is to give access to thousands of villagers the basic primary medical benefits. An important aspect of the services is to record the medical diagnosis and treatment history of the beneficiaries that will help the Doctors provide better care in future as well.

So the data of thousands of villagers will be stored and can be retrieved by them whenever they want and also every year they can compare their health statistics. This is something even corporate hospitals do not do. “Our vision is good health and healthy life for all” Vishnu said. We want them to lead a healthy life so that they can focus on their livelihood. In fact health, sanitation and hygiene are vital for economic productivity and these are areas which need attention right now in a rural setting.

Vishnu has earlier adopted 10 villages and is constructing toilets in all the high schools there for the children. This health scheme has been Vishnu’s pet project and the software created to hold the data of the villagers has been going on for quite some time. It’s a known fact that Dr. Mohan Babu has always been involved in humanitarian and charitable work across many villages in the area of health, sanitation, water and basic infrastructure development.

There are many unsung heroes in the cinema industry who keep working behind the screen and contributing in a very valuable manner. One such person is noted writer/director J K Bharavi. He has associated with many devotional hits such as ‘Annamayya’ ‘Sri Ramadasu’ and his directorial venture ‘Adi Shankara’ got good acclaim.

Now, J K Bharavi has added another jewel into his crown as he has been chosen as the recipient for the prestigious Kaloji Puraskar. The honor would be bestowed to him on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the great Telangana poet Kaloji Narayana Rao. The event is taking place on September 9th.

It’s all official. Ram Charan is arriving on October 1 as his much-anticipated film Govindudu Andarivadele will be hitting the screens then. Directed by Krishna Vamsi, Charan essays the role of an NRI who comes to his native village in India to reunite his family.

Srikanth and Kamilini Mukherjee will be seen as Charan’s Baabayi (Uncle) and Pinni (Aunt) in the film. Meanwhile, producer Bandla Ganesh is busy making preparations for the grand audio launch of the film. Rendered by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the music will be unveiled on September 15.

Maverick director AR Murugadoss has been hospitalized on Monday. The Ghajini director, who was busy shooting for Vijay’s Kaththi, was admitted to hospital apparently due to low Blood Pressure and food poisoning. 

According to medical reports, it was a “minor” problem and director seems to have recuperated. Sources say that doctors are going to discharge Murugadoss by today evening. The movie has Samantha in the female lead alongside Vijay and the movie is due for Diwali release. Since the release date is fast approaching, director was said to be under pressure to wrap up the film. 

Director Dasari Narayana Rao, who is well-known for making sensational comments and taking potshots at big wigs, is at it again. Talking about the big-budget movies with massive releases by showcasing it in largest number of screens, Dasari lamented, “In a town of then theatres, all 10 theatres are showcasing the same film which is not a healthy sign. Don’t you think audience will question this trend? They will certainly revolt and that day is no longer. Industry should accommodate all. Everyone has right to live”

Dasari heaped praises on director Ram Gopal Varma for launching new trend of “auctioning” films online. “When I first started out releasing film through Satellite, everyone had laughed at me. Now after 10 years, all are following the same. I’m sure the auction system will be adopted by the big-ticket films as well.”

Dasari and Manchu Vishnu confirmed that their upcoming films Erra Bus and Current Theega will also be auctioned prior to release. Meanwhile, Varma and Vishnu’s Anukshanam is due for release on September 13. 

Here is a good news! Reports suggest that oil reserves have been found in Bapatla but there is also a bad news coming with it. When the same happened in East Godavari, the past government wrote the entire set of oils wells to the Reliance Industries tycoon Ambani without thinking of the facts and benefits.

Today, nobody knows how much oil is being extracted and is being sold. If the same was in our government’s control then revenue earning would have been great. Now it is heard that even Bapatla has come into the eyes of Ambani. If he lobbies and shakes the system and grabs it then it would be very damaging and a big loss to us.

The AP CM Chandrababu Naidu should do something about it. Since he is planning to come up with petrochemical industry, this is the right time to take control over this oil reserve. If he can come up with an industry that can convert crude into petrol it would be great. If only the Godavari Gas basin was not given to Ambani we would have got LPG cylinder at Rs 200 but now we know the situation. We have to see what Naidu will decide on the Bapatla oil.

This box-office spinner made Megastar Chiranjeevi bigger than Amitabh Bachhan as the highest remuneration commanding actor ever in Indian film history. Director K Raghavendar Rao’s fantastic conceiving of this fantasy flick reached heights as producer Ashiwni Dutt never cared to invest crores for building scenic sets. Sridevi’s angelic beauty and enticing glamour was another bigger asset for the movie.

What if such a wonderful classic is to be remade? Let’s see what Chiru has to say about this. 

‘If Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari is to be remade or a sequel is to be planned, we can’t imagine anyone other than K Raghavendra Rao garu directing it. He should be the sculptor of such a fantasy again’, says Chiru, reiterating that KRR is his all-time favorite. ‘If not me’, Meagastar quips, ‘Ram Charan would be wearing my shoes and I can’t imagine anyone except Tamanna who could be a fitting replacement to glamorous Sridevi’, he concludes. Then who is going to produce it? Chiru is quick to say ‘None other than Ashwini Dutt garu again’. He finishes by adding, ‘KRR-Charan-Tamanna-Dutt and Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari 2 will be a perfect project’.

Ergonomics of Chiru-KRR-Dutt in conceiving a wonderful product are known and if latest box-office commander Charan joins the league it is going to be bigger than biggest again. Let us see when this project materializes. 

Director Atlee won the hearts of millions with his debut film, Raja Rani. Atlee won accolades for the romantic entertainer that deals with marriage and relationships. The director won several awards for the film including the best debut director.

It’s now learnt that Atlee got engaged in the city on Sunday evening to actress Priya, who was last seen playing the role of Anushka’s sister in Surya’s blockbuster hit, Singam.  Priya, a popular television star and film actress known for her role in Singham and Nan Mahan Allah.According to sources it is a love marriage, which has now been arranged by both the families.  

Confirming the news, Atlee says, “Yes, I have found my real rani, Priya. I’ve known her for the last eight years. We got engaged with the wishes and blessings of our close friends and family members.”  Nayana tara and Arya took part in the engagement ceremony and the marriage will take place in November.We congratulate both Atlee and Priya on the occasion.

While issuing censor certificate The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) behaves differently for different films. Sometimes, they allow U or U/A certificates for hot, spicy films and sometimes they argue and puzzle with A even for family subjects. Previously there are several such examples.  

Depika Padukone next film FINDING FANNY has been in the news for its issues with the Censor Board. The Censor Board asked the director to get rid of Deepika Padukone’s dialogue “I’m Virgin” to get a U/A certificate.  Deepika Padukone slams the censor board for removing the dialogue saying its guidelines are inconsistent.Speaking about the decision of censor board in a reality show Deepika feels while judging a film, it’s important to see everything in the context of a particular scene or a film.

After so many discussion the virginity term was retained by censor board. When the film have gone for review committee, CBFC has now allowed makers to retain it.Director Homi confirmed this on a micro-blogging site. “Alas a sense of reason prevails! “I’M A VIRGIN” been allowed back in @FindingFanny. A step twds consistency and rationality from the Censors,” posted Homi.  The film has veteran star cast like Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur and Naseeruddin Shah in the cast. It is releasing Sep 12.

If the buzz from Filmnagar scuttlebutt machinery is to be believed, the proposed Multistarer film in the combination of Nagarjuna and Junior NTR stand cancelled even with out going on floors. It is said that Nagarjuna had become very demanding after the success of Manam and demanded several changes to the script to add more prominence to his character.

This changes to the script were not to the liking of NTR or the director Vamshi Paidipalli. It is said that Nagarjuna could not be convinced even after several sittings and finally he said ‘Sorry’ to Vamshi. It is not clear that if the project is going to be pursued with any other star hero now. If every thing goes well, the project was to begin in October.

In an interview couple of weeks ago, Nagarjuna was very much excited about this project and he told the press that he is going to do a shocker kind of role in the movie. After 14-yr-long hiatus, erstwhile lead heroine Indraja is all set to return to Telugu films. She is playing a pivotal role in upcoming Telugu film Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, produced by Sai Korrapati. She will be seen as a mother to hero Naga Shaurya and wife to Ajay in the film. At first Indraja was reluctant and refused to play mother role but only after persisting effort from  first-time director Srikoti and producer, she is back on board.
