Nani, who has tasted back to back disasters with Paisa and Aaha Kalyanam has pinned all of his hopes on his upcoming film Jenda Pai Kapiraju, in which he has played a duel role. This film is directed by Shambo Shiva Sambho fame Samuthirakani. Telugu version of this film has Nani in the lead and Jayam Ravi did the Tamil version.

In Tamil this film is titled Nimirnthu Nil. Tamil version has released earlier than Telugu version and bad news is that Nimirnthu Nil is getting very bad reviews from Tamil media. Public talk is not encouraging either. Looks like Nani is in for another disaster. He needs more than a decent film to grab the attention of audience at this point.

But Jenda Pai Kapiraju is frame to frame remake (bilingual) of Nimirnthu Nil. Nani should hope for a miracle to happen and wish that Telugu audience like this film irrespective of response from Tamil audience. Nani has been running through worse phase in his career and is desperately looking for a hit now. Let’s hope JKR doesn’t let him down.

11 crore package for Aagadu?

Srinu Vytla is one of the most sought-after directors in Telugu film industry now. His superb track record and guaranteed commercial success formula is making producers, superstars to run after him. Producers are willing to pay anything that he asks for. With his demand going up like never before, Srinu Vytla is reaping the benefits of it.

Grapevine is that Srinu Vytla is being paid a package deal of whopping Rs. 11 Crore for script and direction of Aagadu. This deal includes the remuneration of writers too. But Srinu Vylta is going to get more than Rs 10 Crore for this film as there is no established writer working on this film. Srinu Vytla’s favorite writer duo Kona and Gopi Mohan are not on board for Aagadu.

The writers are relatively new or less known. But the producers paid the deal including their remuneration it seems. The young writers must be more than happy to bag such a prestigious film and surely they won’t be demanding for big bucks. Hence, Srinu Vytla has hit a jackpot if these rumors are to be believed. Whatever, let’s hope that this film live up to the expectations as this comes from Dookudu combo.

Kurkure Aunty rocks in negative role!

She is back. Juhi Chawla, Kurkure aunty (seen widely in Kurkure commercials of late), is back to portraying larger-than-life-roles on silver screen. Juhi who is known for goody-goody roles in films from ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, ‘Hum Rahi Pyaaar Ke’ and ‘Darr’ unleashes her negative streak as a greedy politician in ‘Gulab Gang’ and proves her versality.

Her wicked smile, ruthless behaviour( asking a man to scroll under the knees of a woman) and her satirical dialogues, makes it a commendable performance. Apart from praising director Abhinav Sinha, Juhi should take the credit for doing lot of homework to come up with a menacing performance, which is USP of this women-centric movie, that runs in contrast to her soft lover girl image.

Even B-town directors, who worked with her, would have been taken by surprise, since he couldn’t exploit her hidden talent. Hat’s off Juhi!

Legend FIR(First Information Report) : Devi Sri Prasad has scored music for Balakrishna’s movie for the first time and therefore Nandamuri fans expected different audio album from NBK this time. Devi Sri Prasad has been in prime form off late with so many super hit albums to his credit. Although DSP is known for composing superb mass songs, his music is mostly targeted at youth.

But Balakrishna is a mass hero and most of his songs are composed to please them. Did Devi Sri Prasad deliver the required punch with Legend songs? Is this audio in sync with the powerful visuals of this film? First things first, Legend audio is definitely not DSP’s best. He has scored good marks with Legend title song but the remaining songs are not so impressive except for Nee Kanti Chupullo, which is a nice melody.

Time Bomb and Laskutapa songs will need some time to grow on you. First impression of Legend songs is mostly average and let’s hope these songs will pick up by the time Legend hits the marquee. Although the audio of this film is not up to the mark, the trailer does raise the expectations on Legend. Balakrishna is just rocking in that powerful getup and the dialogues written for him are superb.

It is more or less confirmed that Pawan Kalyan is going to start a new political party. Although he hasn’t confirmed about his plans as yet, there are clear signs of it. Pawan will be announcing his political entry and new party on March 14th at Hitex grounds. So, who is going to support him? Will there be any film celebrities that lend support to Pawan Kalyan?

Except for few close aides like Trivikram, Ali etc. there won’t be anyone from film fraternity that will stand next to him, says the buzz. Why because supporting Pawan Kalyan is simply going against Chiranjeevi and his camp. Therefore film industry wants to stay neutral in this matter. We have to see if diehard power fans like Nitin and co. to speak in favor of Pawan’s move or not.

Pawan Kalyan doesn’t have many friends in film industry as he rarely comes out and moves socially. On the other hand Chiranjeevi is still a respected figure in Tollywood and almost all the big families are in touch with him. Many speculations from past few days are circulating in industry about another excited multi-starrer film with Young Hero NTR and King Nagarjuna. Ace director Vamsi Paidipally who had delivered a big success to NTR with “Brindavanam” and for Ram Charan with “Yevadu” is now want to add hat trick film in his account with this multi-starrer.

Recently, news revealed that Vamsi Paidipally narrated storyline to NTR and he accepted the film without any second thought but King Nagarjuna who is busy with post-productions works of his family prestigious venture “Manam” has not green signal to this multi-starrer.
Latest news is that Nagarjuna also impressed with the script and accepted to share screen space with NTR. One of the top production houses in tensile town is going to produce this film. Reliable sources revealed that launching (Muhurtham) date of this excited combo film has fixed and it will be on April 15th.
Sources added that production unit has decided to launch the film on April 15th at Annaporna Studios, Hyderabad. The complete details about the cast and crew will be officially announced soon. Currently Nagarjuna is busy with post production works of “Manam” and NTR is busy in completing the shooting of his high excepted venture tentatively titled “Rabasa” under Santosh Srinivas direction.

Pakistani actress Sana khan ends her life in a road accident at Pakistan. As per reports Sana khan and her husband Babar khan are travelling from Hyderabad (Pakistan Hyderabad) were going at a high speed. They are just 30 km away from Hyderabad and car went out of control said eye witness on spot.

Car overturned leaving couple in serious condition, police and ambulance reached soon after receiving this information. They are rushed to local hospital and Sana khan is dead before even taking her into Ambulance for first aid and Babar is in serious condition was rushed to Hyderabad hospital.
Both of them are leaving for a shooting location and they got married on December 2013. This news shocked both the families and Pakistani film industry. Meanwhile there was a confusion over her name and many stated that Indian actress Sana khan is dead, but later realized that its Pakistani actress Sana khan.

It is heard that they are trying to stop their younger brother from entering politics, since Chiranjeevi is already with the Congress, but Pawan Kalyan has reportedly conveyed them in no uncertain terms that he is clear about the path that he chose.
Hence there are reports that mega brothers are trying everything they can to use bigwigs in the film industry to convince Pawan that politics is not an easy thing and he may end jeopardizing all goodwill he has earned so far.

Manam movie starring Nagarjuna and ANR is almost done with it’s shooting work and post production work is carrying on by production team. To everyone’s shock Manam video songs full length are leaked in Youtube by two members of Manam team today early in the morning, noticing this early Manam team complained to police.

Police officials blocked all those URL’s and blocked few sites that shared Manam video songs. Two people from post production are arrested by police as suspects and Nagarjuna is enquiring about the real hand behind this leak. Police are also taking control over production room to check whether there are any pirated cd’s or pen drives.
Previosuly Attarintiki daredi and Nayak are leaked in net before release which caused a huge loss to producers, Hope this would never repeat in industry.

The presence of Balakrishna’s son-in-laws at the audio launch of ‘Legend’ has certainly had its effect on fans of the actor. With rumours in rife that all is not well between our Nandamuri hero and Nara family, and Balayya is not getting due credit in Telugudesam party, this presence is quite essential.

Elder daughter Brahmani’s husband Nara Lokesh and younger one, Tejaswini’s husband Sribharat at ‘Legend’ audio release has given certain clarity to what is happening with political future of Balakrishna. Especially with Nara Lokesh present at the venue, it is quite clear that all is well between Nara and Nandamuri families. Otherwise Lokesh wouldn’t have turned up at the event to wish all the best for Balayya’s upcoming ‘Legend’.

In a way, Balayya’s ‘Legend’ will be surely a publicity campaign for Telugudesam party. As election code will not allow TDP to take up any promotional events close to election-date, by that time Balayya’s movie will be in theatres for 30 days already and every frame of him will be surely reminding people about NTR and Telugudesam only, say cine observers. That will surely help TDP fetch more votes than they are expecting.

Bangaru Kodipetta Movie Review

Navdeep who has been desperately searching for a hit has teamed up with Swathi this time. Raj Pippalla directed this film which grabbed the attention of film lovers with attractive promos.

What is it about?

This film is about three stories.

1) Vamsi (Navdeep) and Bhanu (Swathi) plans to rob few kilos of gold to settle down in life.
2) An aspiring actor Venu (Santosh) realizes one can be hero in real life.
3) Two brothers (Ram Lakshman) unite after being separated due to property related clashes.

Performances:

Swathi is impressive as usual. She looked dull and pale to suit the character. She is very expressive and delivered the best for the character. Navdeep’s performance is fine. He is very handsome in this film. Harsha Vardhan excelled every time he is on screen. Santosh failed to do justice to his role. There is nothing much to say about other actors.

Technicalities:

Raj Pippalla failed to extract the best out of his technical crew. Everyone has come up with average or below average output. Cinematography is just okay and music is mediocre. None of the songs are impressive. Background score is a total letdown. Editing could have been much much better. Editor could have chopped chunks of waste from this film. Director’s efforts as a writer are good, but he has failed miserably in the execution part. Films like these need a racy screenplay and Raj Pippalla failed to make this an engaging film despite interesting plot.

Analysis:

Bangaru Kodipetta starts off on an interesting note and looks promising at the start. But it fizzled out at a rapid pace with director taking the slow route. The film’s screenplay never shifts gears and gets boring as it reaches the interval point. We expect things to get better and fast in the second half, but the director had other ideas.

He continued to take it forward at his own leisure pace and Bangaru Kodipetta gets tiresome at a point. The film only gathers speed towards the climax and ends on a fine note. Except for the climax sequences, nothing works in favor of this film. The premise is good and could have been a fine crime caper if the director took care of the entertainment factor and made the film engaging.

We have seen better films with the same plot and hence Bangaru Kodipetta fails to impress on a whole. Only thing noteworthy is the screenplay format used to narrate this film that has three stories intervened into one. Director failed to write impressive scenes on other characters except for the lead pair. Swathi and Navdeep shouldered this ordinary film and made it watchable. Director’s weaknesses hampered the prospects of this Hen and hence it ended up as a below average fare.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan was fired with questions on current political scenario and about his uncle Pawan Kalyan’s political ambitions. The young actor while saying he does not have awareness on politics still said he would only support his dad Chiranjeevi and at the personal front he said his uncle Pawan Kalyan will get his support.

This seems to have cleared the air about differences in the mega family members especially the brothers and exposed the deeply widened cracks between the two brothers Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. Also even Ram Charan has learnt to sound diplomatic!

However, it is not new and Pawan despised the PRP merger with Congress and ever since he strayed off his eldest brother Chiranjeevi even on the personal front. In the recent times at the launch of Varun Tej’s movie too the differences they share at the personal front were exposed with Pawan choosing to leave as soon as Chiru picked the mic!

With the entire state waiting with bated breaths to know about Pawan’s political aspirations there seems eerie silence in the mega compound with no one choosing to come out or comment on Pawan!

It is heard that the Mega brother tried to convince Pawan not to float another party but then it seems Pawan has given deaf ear. Furthermore, Mithra who shared differences with Chiranjeevi and Allu Arvind during the PRP times is heard as one of the architects for Pawan’s new party. With Chiru, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun on one side, Pawan is left with support from Naga Babu alone. It remains to be seen how he can conquer Telugu people and also Mega fans as a whole!

What’s cooking between Trivikram and Pranitha?

Trivikram is mostly known for his superb sense of humor. Actually that is what has given him a career in the industry. His dialogue writing skills took him to next level and placed him as a director.

But during the time of Jalsa shooting, there were rumors that something something happened between Parvathi Melton and Trivikram and that to get rid off that scandal Trivikram had to cough up about a couple of crores to the girl.

That was old story. Now this is Post Attarintiki Daredi era and tinsel town is now abuzz that cupid has struck him again in the form of Praneetha! The director’s fans are concerned about the man that he has not learnt moral from previous issue with Parvathi.

However, there are others who say that if Pranitha is enjoying a status in the industry, its only the mercy of Trivikram. The visit of YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy to Tirumala without signing the declaration of trust in the Lord, is spiraling into a major controversy.

Some advocates vowing allegiance to RSS have approached the state Human Rights Commission and filed complaint against Jagan, saying that his act of entering the Vaikuntam Queue complex wearing chappals, has hurt the sentiments of Hindus.

The petition has been filed in the HRC by RSS representative Bhargava. He demanded suspension of officials responsible for this omission. Speaking to a private channel, actress and MLA Jaya Sudha expressed dismay that when she visited Tirumala a few days before Jagan did, TTD officials forced her to sign the declaration, but they failed to do so in the case of Jagan. Jaya Sudha said that except herself, all members of her family are Hindus only.

Recently two days back the news was widely spread in industry that Tollywood Super star Mahesh Babu was injured in the sets of “Aagadu” at Bellary where the shooting was cancelled in the middle and the entire team was back to Hyderabad. Some sought of over enthusiastic media released news that Mahesh sprained his foot and Doctors advised Mahesh to take rest for more than a one month.
