Pawan called off Gabbar Singh 2?

If strong rumours are to be believed, Pawan Kalyan has called off his much anticipated Gabbar Singh 2. In substitute, he is doing the Telugu remake of Oh My God which in turn is based on Hollywood film Man who sued God. What’s more? As reported by us earlier, Pawan is sharing screen space with Venkatesh in the film. While Pawan steps into the role of Akshay Kumar in the original (Lord Krishna), Venkatesh will be seen reprising the role of Paresh Rawal (an athiest shopkeeper). Suresh Productions and Pawan Kalyan’s closest aide Sharrath Marar of Northstar Entertainment are jointly producing this multi-starrer.

Meanwhile, the suspense over who is going to wield the megaphone continues. Though initial reports suggested that Dolly of Tadakha fame would helm the project, now grapevine is that director Sampath Nandi, who was supposed to direct Gabbar Singh 2, may also join the project as a compensation.

Talk is that Pawan is not satisfied with the way GS-2 script shaped up. Also, he is apparently disappointed with other things like he couldn’t find the female lead who would do justice for the role. All this would have prompted him to hold the much awaited project given that there are huge expectations on it. He may ask any other director (probably Trivikram Srinivas) to come up tight script.

The other talk is that Pawan would have spiked Gabbar Singh 2 forever. An industry source opined, “Since Pawan scored a blockbuster with family entertainer Attarintiki Daaredi, he wants to do more lighter-vein roles now. He seems to want to take break from Mass-Masala films for time-being. Yet nothing can be confirmed now as he is unpredictable.” So, it is yet to be confirmed whether Pawan postponed Gabbar Singh 2 for a while or cancelled it forever. On one front he is doing Oh My God remake, on other front his Gabbar Singh 2 is deferred or taking a backseat. Certainly, a mixed news for all Pawan’s fans.

“Mahesh signs 40-crore deal”

No doubt, Mahesh Babu is a trial-blazer in more ways than one. Along with highest number of endorsements and blockbusters like Pokiri, Dookudu and Businessman under his sleeve, the star has reportedly a signed a 40-crore deal with top production house 14 Reels Film International to do 3 big films for the banner, Even though, B-town stars like Salman and Akshay Kumar have known to signed ‘packaged” deals but Mahesh would go down as the first top Telugu star, to trigger this new trend.

Usually, corporate production houses insist on such fancy deals, to have more grip on a star, but Telugu producers have broken that jinx and roped in the son of superstar Krishna. Apparently, after “One” and “Agadu”, the actor is committed to do another big ticket film and producers are reportedly looking for a top director to launch another film, to complete the deal. Mahesh possesses a good business acumen and bound to rise to dizzy heights.

Hansika skipped simbu sister marriage!

Kollywood yesteryear star film maker T Rajender’s daughter and actor Simbu sister Ilakkiya wedding was held on Sunday and reception held yesterday. Top celebrities including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Karthi, Vishnuvardhan, Khushbu, Sundar C, Jayam Ravi, K Bhagyaraj etc attended the reception. Interestingly, Simbu’s girlfriend Hansika Motwani skipped both the events.

Despite ‘Paisa’ flopped at Box Office, neither Mega Fans are questioning nor raising any doubts on credibility of Chiranjeevi in selecting Krishna Vamsi as director for this project. Reason is the decent track record and his ability to deliver superb final output under any kind of situations (except films like ‘Mogudu’).

Anyways, inner film sources are seeing this Cherry’s movie as a brilliant opportunity for Krishna Vamsi to impress Chiranjeevi and bag his 150th film. Name of VV Vinayak is although in discussion, chances of this milestone film hitting sets in nearest time are highly minute to impossible. If reports to be believed, Pawan Kalyan is all set to act in another film other than his much anticipated Gabbar Singh 2. Going by our strong sources, the Power Star has given his nod for a multi-starrer. He is going to share screen space with none other than Daggubati Venkatesh. And the movie is the Telugu remake of Hindi hit Oh My God.

While Venkatesh steps into the shoes of Paresh Rawal, a common shopkeeper, Pawan Kalyan will be seen in a never-before-seen God role i.e, Lord Krishna which was portrayed by Akshay Kumar in the original. Buzz is that the talks have become fruitful and Pawan gave his go-ahead to the team. Dolly, of Tadakha fame, is likely to direct the film. The movie is said to be simultaneously shot along with Pawan’s Gabbar Singh 2.

Oh My God is a laugh riot. The film is all about an atheist-Hindu shopkeeper whose only shop gets damaged due to a low-intensity earthquake. When shopkeeper learns that he is ineligible to claim insurance for the damages caused due to natural calamities (act of God), he decides to file a law suit against God. It’s interesting to watch out how things take turn from then. Pawan’s role has two shades- one as a real-estate agent Krishna Vasudev Yadav and the other as Lord Krishna. The film is a socio-fantasy.

Earlier Pawan and Venkatesh were supposed to act in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu but things didn’t materialize and later the role went to Mahesh Babu. Now, with none other than Pawan, who rose to super stardom, giving go-ahead to multi-starrer, this is expected to set a new precedent in Tollywood. Srikanth’s Devaraya tanked big time though its audio is launched by Pawan. And right now, our powerful hero will be awaiting two litmus tests that could prove him golden or iron legged. Recently Pawan launched music of two flicks, one is nephew Sai Dharam’s ‘Rey’, while Brahmi’s son Gautham’s ‘Basanthi’ is the other. If these two flicks score a great deal with audiences, then no doubt, Pawan’s presence at audio launch will be glorified. Even as the CM Kiran’s resignation or sacking is yet to be confirmed, political leaders are all set to play spoilsport. Six senior congress leaders, including two ministers, are vying up for the CM post for the past two months when the state functionary is paralysed over controversial “division” process. At a time when people hit the streets, rocked with protests, continuous bandhs disrupting public life to the hilt, it is sad state of affairs that few leaders turned out to be power-drunk. Though Kiran time and again said that he would take a call if T-Bill, which was unanimously rejected by AP Assembly and Council, is tabled in Parliament, there is doubt whether he will do it or when he will do it.

Meanwhile, leaders are running after high command for CM chair for the period of 1 month. A senior minister from Warangal is in the race for CM post. He has even offered to not to contest assembly later and that he would prefer to contest for MP elections in the 2014. Two other senior MLAs have made appeal to Digvijay Singh that since TRS merger is a certainty, they stand no chance and that they should given chance to T congress MLAs at least for one month.

Similarly another senior minister from Guntur is also in the radar. Interestingly he has reportedly pleaded with his colleague from Warangal. “Anna , any way you have chance to become CM at Hyderabad once T-state is given. This is my last chance, so please leave it to me’, was his appeal.” A senior MLA from Prakasam and also from West Godavari told Cong big wigs in Delhi that they have served party for 30 years but no elevation . “Give us CM post for at least a month in Hyderabad.”

All these people are certainly bringing the Telugu pride down before High Command. Isn’t it? Now, it’s for people to take a wise call in coming elections.

Satires on Chiranjeevi at ‘Basanthi’ Audio?

Brahmanandam’s son, Raja Goutham’s third venture as a hero ‘basanthi’ movie’s audio was launched successfully on Sunday, 9th February. Many industry bigwigs along with Power Star Pawan Kalyan graced occasion and made the occasion grandeur.

Meanwhile, some of the interesting skits and dancing programs were performed at intervals by the artists. One such program is mimicry done by two amateur mimicry artists. What went wrong in this program is that one of the artists mimicked the voice of Mahesh Babu while the other one mimicked the voice of Chiranjeevi.

Strangely, Mahesh’s character threw non-stop satires on Chiranjeevi in that program. Though its an entertaining program, some of the sensitive fans might get hurt. Earlier, similar kind of satirical skit was shown at ‘Sukumarudu’ audio. But the movie bombed at the box office. Unless the movie makers are cautious allowing such programs, there may be a threat of some of the heroes’ fans start counting flops of those movies and may project it as a sentiment.

CM Kiran may resign in 2-3 days

The speed with which the UPA government is moving, has bewildered state ministers and they had to eat their words within few hours.

State minister T.G. Venkatesh, one of the close associates of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy said Kiran will not take a decision on resignation until the President puts his stamp of approval on the T Bill and sends it to Parliament. Another minister Erasu Pratap Reddy even made a guess that President Pranab sees to be in a dilemma.

However, as news emerged that the Bill will be introduced in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, T.G. ate his earlier words and said CM Kiran may take a decision on quitting in a couple of days.

He felt that the President has not approved the Bill whole-heartedly, because Pranab has said several times earlier, that the bifurcation will harm both the regions.

Venkatesh also called the President’s approval to the Bill rejected by the state Assembly as a “Black day” for Telugu people. The minister said he will quit Congress if the Bill is passed in Rajya Sabha. He felt that if the Bill is passed in Rajya Sabha, it implies passage of the Bill.

President approves Telangana Bill

President of India approved the Telangana Bill sent in by Union Cabinet a short while ago. The bill now will be tabled in Rajya Sabha tomorrow afternoon at 12 PM. Government is planning to suspend agitating MPs from Seema Andhra region and pass the bill tomorrow itself. Senior Congress ministers are holding a series of meetings with BJP leaders to ensure the support of the main opposition party when the bill is introduced.

On the other side, Both the houses of Parliament were stalled today on the Telangana issue. The Congress-led central government is determined to pass the bill through before the last session of their current term ends on February 21. The Congress party’s leadership believes that the move will be a vote-spinner in Telangana region.

As per latest details Surender Krishna filed case in writers association and he claims that they used his story for Radha without his notice and they did not even pay him any amount to use his story line.

Surender Krishna says that Home minister falling in love and making changes for her is completely his story plot and Maruthi director did not even contact me regarding this and also he is using his entire story which will be alegal problem for movie.
