Konda might opt to join either BJP or TRS
Surekha not attending the ‘Racha Banda’ programme of the party’s honorary president Vijayamma in Chevella of Ranga Reddy district gave credence to the reports. It is learnt that she had not responded though she was invited by party senior leaders over telephone.
Surekha was the first to support the family of Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy after his death. She even quit the cabinet when Jagan could not become the Chief Minister. However, she was gradually getting disheartened with the way she was being treated by the party after Jagan went to jail and her own defeat in the Assembly by-election.
Surekha was very much hurt when recent entrants like TV anchor Rani Rudrama and others were assured party tickets and made incharges of constituencies in her Warangal district, without even saying a word to her. Surekha and her husband have a strong cadre in the district. As they are senior leaders of the YSRCP, several of their own followers have been expecting party posts and tickets. Suddenly Sakshi newspaper managing editor Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy was made Telangana incharge and he started appointing leaders of his choice as constituency incharges.
Angered by Sajjala tampering the party affairs, Konda’s followers locked the YSRCP party office in Warangal recently. They are charging Sajjala of selling party posts and tickets. As he had taken the party matters totally into his hands, the leadership of the Konda couple became a question mark. Their followers are totally disappointed, as they had spent a lot of money on party activities.
Now it is learnt that the Konda couple have been holding a series of meetings with their confidents, considering their options. Reports suggest that they might opt to join either BJP or TRS as both the parties are committed to Telangana. While both the parties might welcome them, it is learnt that they might prefer BJP as there would be greater freedom in that party. The couple might announce their decision shortly, unless the YSR Congress leadership controls the Sajjala factor in Warangal district.

Even recently Pawan’s fans turned Pawan Kalyan’s film makers for Panjaa, while Nitin always mentions the name of Pawan Kalyan. Now Bandla Ganesh took this to new level comparing Mega Family members as Mega Gods aka Holy Kailash of Lord Shiva in Himalayas.
He compared Chiranjeevi to Lord Shiva and his brother inlaw Allu Aravind to Nandi and said to meet Shiva one should get permission of Nandi. He stated Pavan Kalyan as Sambaiah while Ram Charan as Little Boss. He compared Allu Arjun as Golden Swan. He revealed that Charan promised him to do a film every two years under his banners.
Criminal case against Comedian Venu Madhav
According to the information, Venu Madhav’s pet dog allegedly chased and bit an Intermediate student in Krishna Nagar area of Kushaiguda. Annoyed with this, the parents of the boy lodged a complaint with the police against the pet dog as well as its owner Venu Madhav seeking stern action.
The received the complaint and took up investigation.
Judicial custody of Jagan extended till May 13.
Jagan and the others accused, former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao, industrialist Nimmagadda Prasada and suspended officer K V Brahmananda Reddy, who are currently in Chanchalguda prison, were produced before the CBI court through video conferencing. Minister Dhramana Prasad Rao, who is also an accused in the case, appeared before the court in person.
Jagan was arrested by the CBI on corruption charges on May 27 last year.
Nayan refused, Priyamani bagged the opportunity
Nayan who rejected the golden offer however did a special number in a upcoming hero’s film in Kollywood. She danced along with Dhanush in Priya Anand and Kartikeyan starrer Edir Neechal and surprisingly she did not even take any remuneration. She says she did the song only due to her friendship with Dhanush and clarified that the song is not an item number.

Manochitra is back after two years in a new avatar
A Tamilian from Kancheepuram, Manochitra, who rose to fame with her performance in debut Tamil drama “Aval Peyar Thamizharasi”, is keen to essay city-based characters.
“Ever since I played a village belle in my debut, I have been only getting such offers and I declined most of them. I even decided to quit movies at one point because I was only looked at as someone capable of playing only rural characters,” said the actress, fondly called Mano.
“I have returned to acting after two years’ break. I lost 13 kg and look presentable to convince that I can play urban characters as well. Thankfully, I play a city-bred character in my upcoming films, including the film with Ajith Kumar sir,” she added.
Impressed with Ajith’s humbleness, she says while shooting for yet-to-be-titled Tamil action-drama with him, she felt she was working with a family member.
“I shot for 10 days with Ajith sir and rest of the crew. Since I was cast opposite a star, I was extremely nervous. But, everything changed after he started treating me as a family member. He was polite, humble and very down to earth,” Mano told.
“I believe it’s very important to feel comfortable around your co-star and comfort comes only when the effort is taken by co-stars. It was just a matter of time before I started feeling extremely comfortable on the sets of the film,” she added.
She is not paired opposite Ajith in the film, but shares a few scenes with him.
“I play one of the character roles with good screen space with Ajith sir. I have no issues playing a character role because working in the film will definitely boost my career,” added the actress who is awaiting the release of her second Tamil movie “Netru Indru”.
“I play a singer in it and I’m making efforts to get the mannerism of a singer right because it’s a very challenging role,” she said.
Case registered against the Vangaveeti Radha Krishna
On a complaint of Ananda Rao that Vangaveeti Radha Krishna detained him and brought pressure to withdraw a case filed in the high court, Satyanarayanapuram police booked cases under sections 342 and 506.
Vangaveeti Radha Krishna who plays a key role in Krishna district politics, joined the ysr Congress after Y S Jaganmohan Reddy launched the party. In 2008, he joined the PRP of Chiranjeevi. He contested in the 2009 general elections and was defeated. After PRP was merged in the Congress, Radha chose to join the YSRCP. It may be reclled that he was in the centre of a flexi controversy using the pictures of Jr. NTR along with those of YSR and Jagan when Sharmila toured the district.
Hamsanandini’s spying job
“I am going to start my sword fighting and horse riding lessons soon. I play a spy (as Princess Madhanika) in the ‘Rudramadevi’ and have a lot of action sequences, so I’m looking to get into the best possible shape by the time I start shooting in June,” shared Hamsa Nandini. She is also doing an item song Nagarjuna’s ‘Bhai’.
Dadi moved to YSRCP, Kadiyam moved to TRS
Both are members of the politburo, the highest policy making body of the party. The two and another member Hari Krishna had recently abstained from the public meeting of Naidu at Vizag on the conclusion of his pada yatra.
Kadiyam Srihari has been unhappy about Naidu’s stand on Telangana and has been away from party activities since quite some time. Recently another senior leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu started suffocating Kadiyam with verbal attack. It is learnt that Kadiyam made up his mind to join the TRS. Already Karimnagar TDP MLA Gangula Kamalakar joined the TRS. It is learnt that former minister P Chandrasekhar is also planning to join the rose brigade. While Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy already joined the TRS, Telangana leaders Venugopala Chary, Jogu Ramanna, Nagam Janardana Reddy and Hariswar Reddy had already come out of the TDP.
In the north coastal region, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao is also unhappy with the way he was denied re-nomination to the legislative council. He was hurt that Naidu had not even formally informed him about not being nominated to the council. He is learnt to be hobnobbing with the YSRCP for his own political career.
